Gaia is the Earth Goddess and the ancestral mother of all life. In Greek mythology, Gaia is the personification of the earth.  Gaia was worshipped as the Giver of Gifts. Oaths sworn in the name of Gaia, in ancient Greece, were considered the most binding of all.
